Not to say the dollar is in trouble, but the gas station I stopped at on my way to work has a sign advertising 2 Krispy Kreme donuts for $2, which means that the all-important dollars to donuts exchange rate is now one to one.

Are you a Krispy Kreme person? As in, someone who eats them on purpose?

Jack and I had a whole conversation after he read this post about whether any donut is worth a dollar. He says no; I say the custard-filled donuts from The Donut Stop in Lemay are well worth a dollar.

That's what "creme-filled" donuts meant to me throughout my childhood. The first time I had a so-called creme-filled donut from Dunkin Donuts, I nearly cried from disappointment.

I think Krispy Kremes are of a kind with Dunkin Donuts creme-filleds.

Krispy Kreme's are okay, but not quite worth the hype. Unlike Starbuck's, who burn their beans and are not even remotely worth the hype.

Ahh...come to Amish country. Golden Delight bakery in Kalona, Iowa. The glazed doughnuts are amazing. Nobody does deep-fried sugar-coated white flour like the Amish.

If the gods ate donuts, they would eat Krispy Kreme. Specifically the glazed variety with the chocolate icing on top.

Realize this is because the dollar has fallen, not a rise in the price of donuts.

Donuts don't float on the market - they're fixed at delicious.
