Cost-Benefit Analysis of High Speed Rail

It's focused on Texas, but almost certainly applies elsewhere. I've love to see analysis like this on the Midwestern line, running from KC to St. Louis to Chicago (preferably with a stop in Columbia).

I know light rail and hsr are two completely things, but I've ridden our new LR to Seatac Airport and back three times in the past month and It. Is. Awesome. People are having visitors from out of town ride it just for fun because it's just so neat.
